Hey there, I’m Kuma!

Just landed at PAWS, and not because I did anything wrong! My old family really loved me, they just wanted what’s best for me.

I’m a sweet and jolly pup who’s just six months old, and I’m all about the laid-back life here at the shelter. Playing with other dogs and snuggling all my humans is my jam, and fetch? Don’t even get me started on how much I love that game! I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve too, like “sit” and “go to bed.” And guess what? I’m crate trained and potty trained, just like a gentleman! People can’t stop telling me what a good boy I am!

Now, I’m pretty new to the PAWS scene, so we’re all still getting to know each other. Sometimes, I bark a little when new folks come by, but don’t worry, it’s just me saying “Hey, I’m so excited to see you!” On leash walks, I’m always on my best behavior, and despite my size, I’m really quite polite. My favorite things? That has to be the paddling pool and the hose here at PAWS – they’re my best buds. I could play with them for HOURS. And playing with my new doggy pals? Absolute bliss.

I’m set to be a big boy, so some basic training sessions with a PAWS-approved trainer will be super helpful. Remember, I’m a decade-long commitment, so I need a family full of love, patience, and ready to handle a big growing pup like me.

My first vet visit, vaccines, and that all-important neuter surgery are still on the to-do list. But what I’m really looking forward to? Starting the search for my forever family. Could that be you?”
