Hi! I’m Lucy!
I was surrendered to PAWS due to no fault of my own. I am very sad to be at the shelter, and can’t wait to get back into a loving home.
I am a very sweet girl who is as cuddly as they come. I literally just want to be curled up on your lap all the time. I am a bit nervous of new situations, but warm up very quickly. I am great on a leash, and very respectful of cats. I could really care less about other dogs. I will show my teeth if I’m a little uncomfortable with a dog, but that’s all I do. I really don’t mind the company of the other dogs at the shelter, and will happily lounge in the sun with them. I’m not big on playing with other dogs, but this may change as I get more comfortable in my surroundings.
I am looking for a family who is kind and patient, and will help me learn to adapt to being a full time house dog. I’m still working on potty training, and learning the rules of the house. I really don’t like being left alone, so someone who can help me work on this through positive reinforcement training is a must. I came in pretty rough shape with double ear infections and a tongue infection, but I am getting healthier every day.
