Age: 16.5 Weeks
Gender: Male
Breed: Shepherd mix
Hello there! I’m Salt N Pupper.
I arrived at PAWS alongside my eight adorable siblings. Trust me, we’re quite a cute and chunky crew! When I grow up, I’m expected to be on the very large side. My mom was a German Shepherd, and my dad’s identity cannot be confirmed. Because of this, I will probably be a very large and active dog when I grow up who needs lots of exercise and mental stimulation, but don’t forget lots of cuddles too!
I’m a delightful pup who loves making friends with other dogs. I’m quite sociable and playful, even if I sometimes get a little overenthusiastic with my doggy pals.
Training? I’m acing it! I’ve mastered “sit,” my recall skills are really impressive, and I can shake both paws. Not to mention, my high fives are getting pretty awesome. I’m learning to take treats gently and have mastered the art of lying “all the way down.” I’ve even got the routine of sitting before going through doors or crossing streets down pat – we use a special button for going outside, and I catch on super quick! Plus, I’m doing great with commands like “leave it” and “drop it.” Oh, and I’ve gotten so much better at settling down in my crate – now I relax almost immediately.
My favorite activities? Chewing sticks, running around in big fields, and snuggling up with anyone who’s up for some cuddles. I’ve been doing great with my on leash walking, and guess what? I’ve tried some agility tricks too! I’m pretty good at navigating a wide beam, especially going up, and I’ve even had a go at the teeter-totter.
Bath time? I’ve had two so far. The first was a bit of a necessity after my journey here, but I’ve been a real champ about it, especially with a bit of peanut butter as a treat for being so brave.
I’m just a happy, friendly pup looking for a home that appreciates my playful energy, big brain and is excited to continue my training journey
I’m on the lookout for a home ready to shower me with love, proper nutrition, fun activities, essential training, and the healthcare I’ll need as I grow. Remember, I’m not just a momentary joy; I’m a commitment of a decade or more. Are you ready to be my forever family?
