Hello! My name is Maurice.

I found my way to the shelter as a stray after some caring people managed to trap me. I was incredibly scared and had a few injuries, including damage to my face and a broken tooth. Since arriving at PAWs, I’ve received lots of tender loving care, undergone a dental procedure to fix my tooth, and now I’m a happy and healthy boy.

Despite my newfound health, I’m still quite a nervous little guy. Luckily, I found a foster home that provided me with the love and space I needed to blossom. I’ve even started playing and affectionately nuzzling my foster mom’s face! As much as my foster family adores me, they can’t keep me forever, so I’m on the lookout for my perfect forever family. I’m in search of a family that understands I may need some time to adjust and settle into a new home. I thrive in quiet environments and need ample space to come out of my shell at my own pace. I absolutely love other cats and the folks at PAWs believe that a home with another brave and friendly kitty to guide me would be incredibly beneficial. I’m also curious about dogs, though any canine companions would need to be respectful of my space and boundaries.

I’m a very sweet boy, and I know that despite my quirks, there’s a family out there who will love me just as I am.
